Samsung Highlights AI-Powered Smart Home Innovations at 2025 Southeast Asia Tech Seminar in Bangkok

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. hosted its 2025 Southeast Asia Tech Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand, unveiling its latest developments in AI-powered home appliances and smart connectivity solutions. The event focused on demonstrating how Samsung is integrating artificial intelligence across its appliance and mobile portfolio to enhance daily living.

The seminar welcomed more than 40 journalists and influencers from across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Attendees were given a detailed look at Samsung’s upcoming technologies and the brand’s broader vision for connected living.

“We are continuously exploring new ways to enhance user convenience by creating seamless synergy across our products,” said Daren Tay, VP & Regional Head of Digital Appliances for Southeast Asia & Oceania, Samsung Electronics. “Through the Southeast Asia Tech Seminar, we aim to showcase the depth of our technological capabilities in detail and further strengthen the trust consumers place in our appliances.”

At the core of Samsung’s showcase was its “AI Home” vision, built on four key pillars: Ease, Save, Care, and Secure. These principles guide Samsung’s approach to simplifying and enhancing the home experience through intelligent features and seamless connectivity.

A key component of this vision is the expanded availability of the AI Home Display, now integrated into a broader range of Samsung appliances. This display enables users to access appliance functions, view personalized information through the Daily Board, and monitor their smart home using Map View. Through SmartThings, the system also supports connectivity with third-party devices without requiring a separate hub.

The Bixby voice assistant has been updated with Voice ID, enabling it to recognize individual users, synchronize personal calendars, and mirror accessibility settings from Galaxy smartphones.

Home Appliances Featuring AI Integration

Samsung presented several product updates, including a preview of its latest refrigerator lineup featuring the new 9-inch AI Home Display. The Side-by-Side refrigerator model, tailored for Southeast Asia, includes Auto Open Door functionality and supports AI Energy Mode via built-in Wi-Fi, enhancing ease of use and energy efficiency.

The laundry segment introduced AI enhancements to both front-load and top-load washers. The Bespoke AI Top Load Washer, now equipped with AI Wash, brings personalized washing to more appliance types. Additional AI functions, such as AI Energy Mode and AI VRT+, support improved performance and energy management.

The Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer set also features AI Wash and AI Dry, alongside the AI Home Display, which provides real-time updates on cycle progress and detergent levels.

Intelligent Climate and Cleaning Solutions

Samsung introduced updates to its air conditioner lineup, highlighting the new Good Sleep mode. This feature allows the air conditioner to adjust temperature automatically based on sleep stage data from compatible wearables such as the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring.

In the cleaning category, Samsung unveiled the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, its latest cordless stick vacuum. The model includes AI Cleaning Mode 2.0, which detects floor types and corner areas to optimize cleaning. A live demonstration at the seminar highlighted the product’s features, including the HexaJet Motor and the All-in-One Clean Station™.

Business Experience Studio Showcase

The seminar was hosted at Samsung’s Business Experience Studio, a dedicated space that demonstrates the company’s technologies in residential and commercial settings. The venue allowed participants to explore the brand’s integrated approach to smart living across various product categories.
