Samsung has launched two new smartwatches in India the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Both watches are powered by the new Exynos W1000 chip, built on a 3nm process, and run on Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch. They come with 2GB RAM, with the Watch 8 offering 32GB storage and the Classic providing 64GB. Google Gemini voice assistant is also built-in for hands-free assistance.
The Galaxy Watch 8 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes with aluminium frames, sapphire crystal displays, and brightness up to 3,000 nits. The 40mm variant packs a 325mAh battery, while the 44mm version houses a 435mAh battery. The Watch 8 Classic has a stainless steel build, a physical rotating bezel, sapphire glass, and a 445mAh battery.
All models are IP68-rated, 5ATM water resistant, and MIL-STD-810H certified. Health features include ECG, blood pressure monitoring, sleep tracking, body composition analysis, temperature sensing, and fall detection.
In India, pricing starts at ₹32,999 for the Bluetooth 40mm Watch 8. The 44mm is ₹35,999. LTE versions are ₹36,999 and ₹39,999 respectively. The Watch 8 Classic is ₹46,999 (Bluetooth) and ₹50,999 (LTE). Pre-orders opened on July 9.
