vivo has launched the X Fold5, its newest foldable smartphone in India. The device comes with a slim profile and is built using aerospace-grade materials. At 217g, it weighs less than many traditional flagships. It also includes IPX8, IPX9 and IP5X protection ratings and is designed to function in cold temperatures.
The X Fold5 features an 8.03-inch main display and a 6.53-inch outer screen, both reaching up to 4500 nits of brightness. It supports 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The camera system developed with ZEISS, includes three 50MP sensors for main, telephoto and ultra-wide photography. ZEISS coatings help reduce glare and improve image quality.
Inside, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and includes 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. It also features a 6000mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
For productivity, the device includes multitasking tools like the Origin Workbench and a Shortcut Button. AI features support file handling, real-time captions, and language translation. The phone also includes a document reader and Google’s Gemini assistant.
The vivo X Fold5 is priced at ₹1,49,999 and will be available starting 30 July 2025 in Titanium Gray. Pre-orders are open till 29 July across major online and offline platforms.
