Acer has introduced two new education focused Chromebooks powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor. The lineup includes Acer Chromebook 311 and Acer Chromebook Spin 311, designed for K–12 students who need reliable performance, long battery life and durable devices for daily learning.
Both Chromebooks deliver up to 15 hours of battery life with fast charging and feature a fanless design for quiet operation in classrooms. Powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 540 octa core processor with Cortex A78 and Cortex A55 cores, the devices support smooth multitasking and demanding educational applications such as STEM tools and Minecraft Education Edition. Integrated Arm Mali G57 graphics enable efficient video encoding and decoding.
The devices feature an 11.6 inch HD IPS display with optional touch support. The Chromebook Spin 311 adds a 360 degree hinge and Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass, enabling tablet style use for note taking, sketching and reading. Both models offer up to 8 GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 128 GB eMMC storage, along with 1080p full HD webcams, dual microphones and optional world facing cameras for interactive learning.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and multiple USB Type C and USB A ports. Built to withstand school environments, both Chromebooks meet MIL-STD 810H standards and include spill resistant keyboards, reinforced corners and serviceable components. Security is supported by the Titan C chip, while Chrome Education Upgrade enables zero touch enrollment and easy fleet management.
Availability begins in March 2026, with Acer Chromebook 311 starting at USD 499.99 and Acer Chromebook Spin 311 starting at USD 579.99.
