Google has introduced a new way for Android and iPhone users to share files with each other. Quick Share, which already works across Android devices, can now connect with Apple’s AirDrop. The rollout begins with the Pixel 10 family. The goal is to make sharing simple so users do not have to think about which phone they or their friends use.
Google says the feature was built with strong security protections. Independent experts tested the safeguards to ensure that files are shared safely. This update follows earlier steps to improve compatibility between platforms, including support for RCS messaging and alerts for unknown tracking devices.
The company plans to bring the new cross platform sharing feature to more Android phones over time. Pixel 10 Pro users can already try it and see how files move between devices with only a few taps. Google says more improvements are coming as it works to make everyday sharing easier for everyone.
