The Global AI landscape is rapidly shifting from potential to real-world impact, with India emerging as the world’s second-largest GenAI startup hub, growing 3.7X. This growth has enabled lean AI companies to scale revenues while fueling established startups. Google highlighted this momentum by announcing the 20 startups selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First 2025, chosen from over 1,600 applications.
The program provides startups with Google Cloud infrastructure, access to Gemini models, mentorship, and go-to-market support to help them overcome early hurdles and scale impactful AI solutions. This cohort strategically aligns with the IndiaAI Mission, with 45% of startups focusing on agentic AI, 30% on multimodal AI, and 25% on foundational and responsible AI.
At the kickoff bootcamp in Google Bengaluru, founders began a three-month journey of technical and business collaboration. Google positions these startups not just as participants, but as co-creators shaping the future of scalable, responsible, and impactful AI.
