To mark its 10th anniversary, Apple Music is opening a new studio space in Los Angeles. The space is designed for artists to work on content, audio production, and connect with audiences in different ways. It aims to provide a place where artists can create and experiment with new formats.
The studio covers over 15,000 square feet across three floors. It includes two radio studios that support Spatial Audio, which can be used for interviews, casual conversations, or performances. There is also a 4,000-square-foot soundstage built for live shows, recordings, and events.
Other parts of the space include a room for mixing audio using a high-end speaker system, a social media lab, an edit room, and a green room. There are also private booths for writing, podcasting, or interviews.
The building has hallways that display photos and artwork from Apple Music’s past events and moments. The studio is expected to open in the summer and is intended to be used by artists working on different types of creative projects.
“Apple Music Radio has always been a home for storytelling and artistry, serving as a space for bold conversations and surprising moments,” said Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s co-head. “With this new studio, we are furthering our commitment to creating a space for artists to create, connect, and share their vision.”
