Five-Layer Architecture and Platform Integration Drive Smart City Development
ASUS has introduced its “AI City” strategy at the Smart City Summit & Expo 2026, outlining a scalable model for AI-driven urban development. The company presented a five-layer architecture covering sovereign computing, AI models, platforms, applications and innovation.
The AI City concept integrates ASUS AIoT solutions, Taiwan AI Cloud, Askey and ASUS MAAS to support city-level systems across transport, healthcare, security and governance. A key focus is enabling local data processing and secure infrastructure through sovereign AI systems.
ASUS also introduced the Maestro Intelligent Orchestration Platform, designed to connect devices, systems and platforms across different domains. The platform enables coordinated operations and supports real-time decision making across city services.
Taiwan AI Cloud plays a central role by providing AI infrastructure, computing resources and localized models to help cities deploy scalable AI systems. The approach combines real-world data, AI model development and deployment to support urban operations.
The company is working with global partners, including collaborations in Europe, to demonstrate real-world implementations and expand adoption of AI-based smart city solutions.
