Box and AWS have entered a multi-year strategic collaboration focused on developing AI capabilities that help organizations work more effectively with their enterprise content. Building on their long-standing relationship, the two companies will create new Box AI agents using AWS AI services and infrastructure. The goal is to help customers process, organize and act on information stored across documents, media files and other content systems.
As part of the announcement, Box introduced several new integrations with AWS tools. These include Box AI agents powered by Amazon Bedrock that can summarise documents, extract metadata, generate FAQs and automate content tasks. Box is also adding support for Amazon Nova Multimodal Embeddings to analyse text, images, video and audio stored in Box. Integrations with Amazon Quick Suite and Amazon Q Developer allow users to access Box content and build content-focused workflows directly within AWS environments. The Box SDK now supports Amazon Strands, Kiro and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to coordinate AI agents and connectors.
Box will also be offered through AWS Marketplace in early 2026, giving customers a simpler path to purchase and deploy Box within their AWS setup.
