The Ministry of the Interior in Bulgaria has chosen Motorola Solutions to provide 13,400 body cameras for the country’s National Police Service. This nationwide rollout is part of Bulgaria’s efforts to improve transparency in policing, respond more effectively to incidents and enhance safety for both officers and the public.

The cameras known as V500 will be used alongside Motorola’s VideoManager software, which allows officers to upload, store and manage footage easily. The cameras also connect with the radios already in use by the police, allowing officers to stream live video and call for help at the same time during emergencies. This setup gives control rooms better insight into events as they happen.

With this step, Bulgaria joins several other European countries that have adopted similar solutions from Motorola, including police forces in France, Germany, the UK, Belgium and Romania. The goal is to improve communication, record key moments clearly and build public trust through better visibility.
