APPOINTMENT
Commander Arun Jyoti, Vice President – Corporate Affairs at Smiths India & Smiths Group, has been elected as the Co-Chair (Industry) of the US-INDIA Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP).
A seasoned Submariner turned corporate leader, Arun brings over three decades of strategic leadership across defence, policy, and industry to this role that strengthens bilateral collaboration in civil aviation.
The ACP, launched in 2007, is a key platform fostering partnerships between the US and Indian governments and global aerospace companies. In this role, Arun will drive initiatives in airspace modernization, sustainable aviation, and public–private partnerships—advancing India’s aviation ecosystem with a sharp focus on safety, innovation, and growth.
Arun’s corporate career spans impactful tenures at Smiths Group, Honeywell, and Shyam Indus Power Solutions Pvt Ltd., where he led high-stakes stakeholder engagement, crisis response, and policy advocacy. His appointment signals a powerful step forward in deepening US–India aviation ties through visionary, purpose-led leadership.
