Daikin has begun construction of a new manufacturing facility in Jeddah to support Saudi Arabia’s growing demand for localized HVAC-R production and contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 industrial goals. The facility will produce chillers and hydronic heat pumps tailored for regional climate and customer requirements. Overseen by Daikin Applied Europe and aligned with the Production of Daikin System (PDS) standards, the facility will follow structured quality processes, lean production practices, and include advanced testing capabilities to ensure product reliability and energy-efficient performance.
The initiative builds on Daikin’s expanding presence in Saudi Arabia, following earlier investments such as the Sudair Industrial City facility. It also aligns with the needs of major national projects, including NEOM and the Red Sea development, which are increasing demand for efficient cooling infrastructure. Daikin notes that the facility strengthens local partnerships, supports job creation, and deepens the company’s role in the region.
The Jeddah site forms part of Daikin’s broader Middle East growth strategy, joining previous manufacturing operations in the UAE and Riyadh. Initial production will focus on large air-cooled chillers, with future expansion planned based on market developments. The project reflects Daikin’s aim to advance regional manufacturing capacity and contribute to long-term economic development across the Middle East.
