Daikin Industries has signed an agreement to acquire DDC Solutions, a U.S.-based company known for its advanced cooling technologies for AI data centers. The deal will go through Daikin’s U.S. subsidiary, Daikin Applied Americas.

DDC Solutions specializes in server rack-level cooling systems designed to handle the high power and heat demands of AI data centers. With AI becoming more integrated into business operations, the need for compact and efficient cooling in urban data centers is growing.

By bringing DDC into its business, Daikin plans to enhance its presence in the AI data center sector. The acquisition supports its strategy to combine DDC’s cooling systems with Daikin’s existing commercial air conditioning and control solutions.

DDC also offers a management system that analyzes and automatically adjusts power and cooling needs in real time, improving energy use and system performance.

This move positions Daikin to better serve the rising demand for AI infrastructure and cooling technology. The deal is expected to close by the end of August 2025, with more updates to follow once the process is complete.
