Dell Technologies has launched the PowerEdge R470 server alongside its Telecom Self-Certification program to support communication service providers (CSPs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) in meeting the demands of 5G, edge, and cloud-native workloads. The PowerEdge R470 is a 1U, single-socket rack server powered by Intel Xeon processors with up to 144 cores. It supports DDR5 memory, Gen5 NVMe storage, up to four GPUs and advanced management features making it suitable for dense and scalable telecom workloads.
The server emphasizes efficiency with energy-saving components and a compact design, aiming to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. It is optimized for containerized network functions ensuring compatibility with modern cloud-driven telecom applications.
Through the Telecom Self-Certification program, partners can access Dell’s labs to test and validate their solutions in real-world conditions. Certified solutions receive the Dell Technologies Telecom Certified badge, helping CSPs reduce risks and ensure interoperability
