Facebook has launched a new AI-powered feature that helps users rediscover and share their favorite memories more easily. The opt-in feature scans photos and videos from users’ camera rolls to suggest creative edits, collages, and compilations—making it simple to post personalized content on Facebook and Messenger.
Designed for effortless sharing, the feature identifies memorable moments that might otherwise remain unseen among everyday images and automatically enhances them for sharing. With the help of AI, it offers fun and engaging ways to showcase special moments without requiring design or editing skills.
All suggestions are private and visible only to the user. People have full control over whether and how they share the suggested content, and the feature can be turned off at any time. Importantly, Meta clarifies that photos and videos from users’ camera rolls are not used to train AI models unless the user edits or shares them using AI tools.
The feature is currently available to users in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to expand to more regions soon. Sharing suggestions appear in Stories, Feed, and the Memories section, creating a more interactive and nostalgic sharing experience.
