Garmin has introduced the fēnix 8 Pro series, its first smartwatch lineup to feature built-in inReach technology for satellite and cellular connectivity. Designed for athletes and adventurers, the new watches allow users to send texts, share locations, make voice calls and access weather forecasts directly from the wrist without needing a phone. SOS alerts can also be sent to Garmin Response a global emergency coordination center with nearly two decades of experience.
The fēnix 8 Pro MicroLED model brings another first: a high-resolution MicroLED display with over 400,000 individual LEDs capable of reaching 4,500 nits. This makes it the brightest smartwatch to date, ensuring clear readability even in direct sunlight. Other models in the lineup feature AMOLED displays.
All fēnix 8 Pro watches are dive-rated and include titanium bezels, leakproof buttons, LED flashlights and Garmin’s full suite of health, fitness and navigation tools. These include endurance and hill scores, suggested workouts, preloaded maps, ECG app, sleep coach and Garmin Pay.
The AMOLED version offers up to 27 days of battery life and starts at $1,199.99, while the MicroLED model provides up to 10 days of battery life and is priced at $1,999.99. Sales begin September 8, 2025.
