Google has announced a new collaboration between its AI Futures Fund and Accel Atoms, Accel India’s pre-seed scaling program, to support early-stage AI startups in India. The partnership aims to accelerate the country’s next phase of digital growth by backing founders who are developing innovative AI applications.
The program will offer selected pre-seed startups access to Google DeepMind’s advanced AI models, including Gemini for text and reasoning, Imagen for image generation, and Veo for video creation. Participants will also receive guidance from experts across Google, Accel, and the wider tech ecosystem, covering research, engineering, product development, design, and go-to-market strategies.
In addition, startups will receive Google Cloud credits and technical assistance to help build and scale AI products. Equity investment opportunities from Google and Accel will also be available for teams demonstrating strong potential.
The initiative reflects Google’s continued involvement in India’s tech landscape and highlights the growing importance of AI-driven innovation. According to Jonathan Silber, Co-Founder and Director of the AI Futures Fund, India’s entrepreneurs are positioned to contribute meaningfully to the next stage of global technology development.
Applications for the program are now open through the Accel India portal, with the cohort beginning in February 2026.
