HARMAN International is powering the return of the Tata Sierra with advanced connectivity and premium in-cabin experiences. The collaboration marks a new phase in HARMAN’s long standing partnership with Tata Motors.
The new Tata Sierra debuts with HARMAN Ready Connect, a locally manufactured and 5G ready telematics control unit platform. Built on a modular architecture, the solution supports a smooth transition from 4G to 5G and enables features such as emergency calling, vehicle tracking, roadside assistance, over the air updates, diagnostics and cloud integration. A smart conformal antenna improves signal performance while reducing cable loss.
Inside the cabin, HARMAN delivers an immersive digital experience through advanced infotainment and a digital instrument cluster paired with a premium JBL audio system. The Sierra features a 12 speaker setup with an enclosed subwoofer and soundbar, an industry first for an Indian automaker. Additional features include a Horizon View Display, Dolby Atmos audio, gaming support, surround view systems, blind spot monitoring and integrated navigation powered by MapmyIndia.
HARMAN has also started Make in India production of Ready Connect at its Pune facility to support faster development and supply chain agility.
