Hitachi announced a major expansion of exhibits at the Hitachi Building Solutions Lab, a customer co creation research facility in Tokyo. The renewed facility will reopen on March 2, 2026 and is designed to accelerate digital innovation in buildings while supporting the Inspire 2027 management plan focused on a harmonized society balancing environment wellbeing and economic growth.
The expanded exhibition showcases solutions delivered through One Hitachi including HMAX for Buildings: BuilMirai. These solutions combine domain expertise with AI digital twin and augmented reality technologies to address challenges such as labor shortages energy efficiency and carbon neutrality. Hitachi Building Systems will work with customers and partners at the lab to promote collaborative creation across the building lifecycle.
Key exhibits include AI driven building management using digital twins where visitors can experience virtual control of guide robots based on people flow analysis. The lab also demonstrates air conditioning and demand control solutions using AR to support green transformation and net zero energy buildings. Other areas focus on seamless movement and wellbeing through connected elevators mobile robots vehicle to everything power systems and smartphone based access control.
The exhibition also highlights broader One Hitachi capabilities including AI safety solutions generative AI agents for equipment maintenance and connected home appliances.
