At HUAWEI CONNECT 2025 in Shanghai, Huawei Cloud announced major upgrades to its developer ecosystem under the theme “Empowering AI Pioneers for Industries to Build Success with Developers.” Kang Ning, President of Huawei Cloud Global Ecosystem, emphasized Huawei’s commitment to an open, developer-centric AI ecosystem, supporting innovation through technology investment and stronger development platforms.
Huawei Cloud now has over 8.5 million developers, with 5.5 million trained through its Developer Institute, 50,000 partners, and more than 1 million annual KooGallery transactions. The upgraded Huawei Developer Space provides enhanced AI development tools, including cloud environments, Versatile, GaussDB, and CodeArts Doer for Coding. Developers benefit from generous free resources, such as 180 hours of weekly cloud development, 1 million function calls, and 2 million MaaS tokens.
Huawei Cloud also upgraded ModelArts Studio for AI development and introduced new incentives worth CNY150 million to promote foundational technologies like AI Compute Service, Kunpeng cloud services, HarmonyOS migration, and GaussDB. An AI marketplace within KooGallery now offers data, models, tools, and an Agent Zone.
