Collaboration Focuses on AI-Driven Systems from Driver Assistance to Robotax

Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Corporation and NVIDIA have expanded their partnership to develop next-generation autonomous driving systems using the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform.

The collaboration combines Hyundai Motor Group’s software-defined vehicle capabilities and large-scale fleet data with NVIDIA’s AI computing and autonomous driving technologies. The goal is to build scalable and data-driven systems that support different levels of autonomy.

As part of this expansion, Hyundai Motor Group plans to integrate NVIDIA technologies into select vehicles, enabling level 2 and above autonomous driving features. The partnership also includes work on level 4 robotaxi development through Motional.

The companies aim to create a unified autonomous driving stack that supports continuous improvement through real-world data collection, AI model training, simulation and deployment. This approach is expected to help improve system performance over time.

The partnership reflects a broader focus on combining vehicle engineering with AI and software to advance autonomous mobility solutions across different use cases.
