Lenovo has expanded its global R&D footprint with new AI Innovation Centers and a Digital Trust Lab across the EMEA region, adding to its existing 18 research locations.

The new Lenovo AI Technology Center facilities will open in Edinburgh and London in the UK, and in Riyadh Saudi Arabia later this year. A Digital Trust Lab has also been launched in Tel Aviv Israel.

The centers will focus on real world deployment of foundation models, development of agentic AI and orchestration of intelligent systems across devices, infrastructure and cloud. The expansion supports Lenovo’s hybrid AI strategy and responsible innovation goals.

The initiative operates under Chief Technology Officer Dr Tolga Kurtoglu, with Dr Anwar Ghuloum leading the Lenovo AI Technology Center. The teams will develop platforms including the AI Agent Core and Development Framework and the AI Model Factory to support scalable AI deployment.
