At Frieze London 2025, LG Electronics honors the late Korean artist Se Ok Suh (1929–2020) through a groundbreaking digital reinterpretation of his abstract ink works. His sons, Do Ho Suh, a renowned contemporary artist, and Eul Ho Suh, an architect, collaborated to transform his “People” series into an immersive digital experience using LG OLED TVs. Leveraging the self-lit and transparent OLED technology, the exhibition brings Se Ok Suh’s meditative ink abstractions to life, exploring the relationship between humanity and infinite space.
Displayed on LG SIGNATURE OLED T transparent and OLED evo TVs, the presentation combines layered animations and perfect blacks to recreate the depth and flow of traditional ink brushwork. Beyond Frieze, the project extends to a special event at the National Gallery in London, reflecting LG’s partnership to bridge art and technology and foster contemporary creativity.
Additionally, LG and the Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) are hosting K-Art Lab, an interactive showcase connecting Korean heritage with digital innovation. Through these collaborations, LG continues to redefine how art is experienced in the modern era, uniting generations of creativity through cutting-edge display technology.
