LG Chem announced that it has worked with Japanese company NORITAKE CO., INC. to develop a new high-performance silver paste. This paste is made for connecting silicon carbide (SiC) chips to other parts in automotive power semiconductors.
The new silver paste uses tiny silver particles and combines LG Chem’s technology with Noritake’s expertise in spreading materials. It offers excellent heat resistance and conducts electricity efficiently.
Unlike older silver pastes, this one can be stored at room temperature and lasts longer. This makes it easier to ship, store, and use in manufacturing reducing waste and saving costs.
“Leveraging our accumulated technological expertise and advanced materials design capabilities, LG Chem has provided customized solutions across various industries, including automotive electronics,” said H.C. ( Hak Cheol ) Shin CEO of LG Chem. “Through our partnership with Noritake, we aim to strengthen our differentiated competitiveness in the global automotive materials market.”
