LG Electronics has reinforced its position as the leading residential air conditioner (RAC) brand in Latin America, maintaining the top spot for ten consecutive years from 2015 to 2024, according to Euromonitor International. The company’s continued growth in the region is supported by strong performance in Brazil, where annual sales have nearly tripled since 2015. With air conditioner ownership at around 20 percent of households, Brazil’s market is expected to grow by more than 20 percent by 2029, providing further opportunities for expansion.

In 2025, LG introduced new AI-powered RAC products to the Latin American market, including the DUALCOOL™ AI Air (also known as DUAL INVERTER™ AI Air in Brazil) and the ARTCOOL™ AI Air. These models use LG’s proprietary AI technology to automatically adjust airflow, temperature, and fan speed based on room conditions, while also improving energy efficiency through features such as the AI kW Manager and Window Open Detection. The products have also received international recognition for their design, with awards from Red Dot, IDEA, and iF Design. LG aims to continue adapting its innovations to local market needs, enhancing user comfort and energy performance across the region.
