LG Electronics has launched its second-generation self-ordering kiosks designed with accessibility at the core. Marking the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, these kiosks aim to make everyday interactions more inclusive for people with vision, mobility, and hearing disabilities. Developed in collaboration with Tech for All and shaped by direct feedback from people with disabilities the kiosks focus on independence and equity.

Unlike older kiosks that relied on retrofitted solutions, LG’s new models integrate accessibility from the design stage. Features include tactile keypads, voice guidance, screen-reader compatibility and motorized height adjustment for wheelchair users. The kiosks support technologies such as JAWS for Kiosk, Storm Interface’s AudioNav and SoundHound AI’s voice interface with options for future add-ons like webcams.

LG is also contributing to industry-wide accessibility standards through its role as co-chair of the Kiosk Manufacturer Association Accessibility Committee.
