About the Role
Logitech is building a new Test Automation team in Chennai. The Hardware QA Engineer will support testing and quality assurance for Logitech’s consumer electronics products. The role focuses on developing and improving Python-based automation tools and test setups for embedded systems.
This position suits candidates who have a strong interest in electronics, Python programming, and test automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve Python-based test frameworks
- Write and run automated test scripts
- Perform manual and automated testing as needed
- Connect and integrate lab equipment like oscilloscopes and sensors with automation tools
- Follow detailed test plans to validate products
- Troubleshoot and debug basic hardware or software issues
- Explore AI tools for testing automation when relevant
- Document test results and update testing procedures
- Work with validation engineers to ensure product quality
- Learn and apply best practices in test design and automation
Required Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in software testing, automation, or embedded systems
- Basic knowledge of Python programming
- Understanding of manual and automated testing methods
- Basic knowledge of electronics such as voltage, current, and sensors
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Interest in embedded systems and automation
Preferred Skills
- Experience in consumer electronics validation
- Familiarity with communication protocols like UART, I²C, SPI, or USB
- ISTQB or similar certification
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Communication, or related field)
