Manoj Kumar Mauni has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Telecom at Airtel. In this role, he will help lead the company’s technology efforts as it continues to grow in areas like digital services and 5G.
He has more than 25 years of experience in sectors such as banking, telecom, and logistics. Before joining Airtel, Manoj was the Chief Technology Officer at Bandhan Bank, where he worked on improving the bank’s digital systems. He also spent around ten years at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he was Executive Vice President,IT and played a key role in shaping the bank’s technology direction.
Throughout his career, he has held senior technology positions at companies like Kotak Life, A.P. Moller – Maersk, P&O Nedlloyd, and Stock Holding Corporation of India. This has given him wide-ranging experience in handling large-scale IT systems across different industries.
At Airtel, Manoj will focus on strengthening the company’s telecom IT systems. He will support the development and management of technologies such as 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), Airtel Black, and AI-based services. His work will also contribute to Airtel’s goals around responsible and inclusive digital growth.
