Limitless has announced its acquisition by Meta, updating its website with a statement from Co-Founder and CEO Dan Siroker. He explained that joining Meta will help scale Limitless’ technology and accelerate product development aimed at advancing personal superintelligence. Siroker did not comment on competitive pressures or the company’s limited product releases since the AI Pendant but noted that the vision of AI-driven personal technology is becoming more widely shared.
He stated that both companies aim to develop AI-enabled wearables and bring personal superintelligence to broader audiences, suggesting that the Limitless brand may continue under Meta’s ownership. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and it remains unclear whether Limitless will operate under Meta’s Superintelligence Labs or Reality Labs.
Limitless confirmed that it will stop selling new Pendant devices, but existing users will receive at least one year of support. All current users will be upgraded to the Unlimited Plan at no additional cost. However, non-Pendant features such as Rewind will be discontinued. Users who choose not to stay with the service can export or delete their data. No details were shared regarding future products.
