Microsoft has announced a new phase of digital commitments for India, focused on advancing governance, cybersecurity, and AI-led innovation. Introduced at the Microsoft Leaders Forum in the presence of Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India & South Asia, the initiatives reflect long-term collaboration with India’s public and private sectors.
The company has launched several key measures. A new Public Sector and Critical Infrastructure Customer Council will enable regular engagement with leaders in healthcare, energy, and finance to address policy and technology needs. Microsoft has also updated its compliance framework with new validation checks and transparency protocols to ensure service continuity during regulatory challenges. Strengthened data privacy and cybersecurity efforts aim to support India’s digital sovereignty through secure cloud and hybrid AI partnerships.
Microsoft continues to expand its AI skilling programs, targeting 10 million people by 2030 through partnerships with national and state agencies. Together, these steps underline Microsoft’s approach to building trusted, secure, and inclusive digital growth in India.
