Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced an investment in Tulip Interfaces Inc. and the signing of a strategic alliance agreement. The partnership focuses on building no code system development platforms to support digital transformation across manufacturing and related sectors.
Tulip Interfaces is based in Massachusetts USA and provides a no code operations platform that allows manufacturers to build and run systems without traditional programming. The platform is designed around microservices which break large systems into smaller independent services. This approach supports flexible development faster updates and simpler operations.
Manufacturers worldwide are facing issues such as labor shortages slow system development and rising maintenance complexity. Large monolithic systems often struggle to adapt to changing production needs. As a result there is growing demand for cloud based platforms that reduce reliance on complex coding and speed up system deployment.
Tulip’s platform enables real time visibility on the factory floor and supports continuous improvement in quality and operations. It allows companies to create composable applications that can be adjusted quickly as operational needs change. The platform is already used across manufacturing pharmaceuticals research and logistics.
Through this alliance Mitsubishi Electric plans to bring new DX solutions to market more quickly while also advancing its own internal digital transformation. The company aims to improve development efficiency production processes and workforce capabilities. The partnership also supports the expansion of Mitsubishi Electric’s Serendie related digital businesses.
