Nikon Corporation will begin accepting orders in November 2025 for its new Gen 8 FPD lithography systems, the FX-88SL and FX-88SLD. These systems are designed for large plates measuring 2,290 mm × 2,620 mm and mark a notable step in Nikon’s flat-panel display (FPD) lithography offerings.

The FX-88SL and FX-88SLD are the first in Nikon’s lineup to incorporate UV-LED light sources. This technology helps reduce environmental impact compared to conventional light sources while maintaining high-resolution imaging and efficient production capabilities.

The two models differ in the wavelength of their UV-LED light sources, allowing manufacturers to select a system best suited for their specific lithography needs. These differences enable optimized performance across a range of display production processes.

This launch underscores Nikon’s commitment to advancing precision and productivity in flat-panel display manufacturing. By integrating environmentally considerate technology with high-performance capabilities, the FX-88SL series reflects a balanced approach to innovation and sustainability in the industry.
