Nokia, in partnership with Keysight Technologies, has completed end-to-end testing of Ultra Ethernet Transport traffic on its data center switching platforms, including the Nokia 7220 Interconnect Routerand 7250 IXR. The test validates compatibility with the Ultra Ethernet Consortium Specification 1.0, reinforcing Nokia’s focus on supporting high-performance computing and AI-driven data center networks.

AI workloads place unique demands on data centers, requiring ultra-low latency, lossless performance, and massive bandwidth. The UEC Specification defines a new Ethernet-based layer designed to address these challenges, making it a widely adoptable and cost-effective solution for modern HPC and AI environments. Nokia, as an active UEC member, aims to integrate these capabilities across its portfolio to enable interoperable, scalable networks.

By embedding UEC capabilities, Nokia provides customers with commercially available AI-ready networking solutions while contributing to the development of open standards and interoperable architectures for large-scale data centers.
