PG Electroplast Expands into South India with 50-Acre Land Acquisition in Sri City

PG Electroplast Limited (PGEL), through its wholly owned subsidiary PG Technoplast Private Limited (PGTL), has acquired a 50-acre land parcel in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh marking its largest land acquisition to date and its first major facility in South India.The company plans to invest ₹1,000 crore over the next five years to develop an integrated manufacturing campus.

Strategically located near Chennai port, the site is positioned to strengthen PGEL’s national manufacturing footprint while also enabling long-term export opportunities.In the first phase, PGEL will set up a refrigerator plant with an annual capacity of 1.2 million units, expected to begin production by December 2026. The facility is also being designed for future expansion into other appliances such as air conditioners, washing machines, and electronics.
