Philips has introduced a new suite of AI-driven Cardiac MR (CMR) innovations aimed at improving imaging accessibility, workflow efficiency, and diagnostic accuracy. These advancements—featured at RSNA 2025—are designed to make cardiac MR faster and easier for clinicians while improving comfort and access for a wider range of patients.
Key technologies include SmartSpeed Precise, which applies Dual AI acceleration for faster and sharper imaging, and SmartHeart, a one-click automation tool that plans and sets up cardiac views within seconds. Additional features such as CINE FreeBreathing, single-beat acquisition, and Cardiac Motion Correction support patients who cannot hold their breath or have irregular heart rhythms. CardiacQuant Perfusion enables non-invasive quantitative assessment of myocardial perfusion to help identify subtle cardiac abnormalities.
Integrated with Philips’ BlueSeal helium-free MR systems, these solutions contribute to more sustainable and accessible cardiac imaging. The AI-enabled workflow addresses staffing constraints by minimizing manual steps, reducing exam times, and improving consistency across operators. Patients benefit from fewer breath-holds and more comfortable imaging experiences.
These innovations also enable expanded clinical pathways, including earlier detection of heart failure and cardio-oncology monitoring. By broadening access to advanced cardiac MR, Philips supports improved care delivery across diverse patient populations.
