Qualcomm Technologies Inc. and Tata Electronics announce a manufacturing collaboration to produce Qualcomm Automotive Modules in India.
Under the agreement, Tata Electronics becomes a manufacturing partner within Qualcomm’s global module network. Production is planned at Tata Electronics’ upcoming semiconductor assembly and test facility in Jagiroad, Assam. The partnership supports the “Make in India” initiative and broader supply chain diversification efforts.
Qualcomm Automotive Modules combine Snapdragon Digital Chassis system on chips with key system components into ready to deploy platforms for automakers. The modules support applications such as digital cockpits, infotainment, connectivity and intelligent vehicle systems.
The collaboration aims to serve Indian and global automakers while strengthening supply chain flexibility and geographic resilience. Local production is expected to support growing demand for modular automotive platforms and accelerate the shift toward software defined vehicles.
