Meta has introduced the second generation of its Ray-Ban smart glasses, building on the success of the first edition. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) offers up to eight hours of battery life, nearly double the previous model and comes with a charging case that extends usage by 48 additional hours. The glasses can reach 50% charge in just 20 minutes, making them more practical for long days.
The update also brings 3K Ultra HD video recording with ultrawide HDR at up to 60 frames per second, along with new capture modes like hyperlapse and slow motion. Later this year, a feature called conversation focus will enhance voices during conversations in noisy environments. Language support for live translation has expanded to German and Portuguese, enabling real-time dialogue in six languages even without connectivity if packs are pre-downloaded.
Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) is also rolling out in new regions, including Switzerland and the Netherlands, with Brazil to follow. Alongside core features like AI assistance, translation and open-ear audio the latest version introduces new seasonal colors and frame options to give users more style choices.
