Samsung Acquires Xealth to Strengthen Digital Health

Samsung Electronics has signed an agreement to acquire Xealth, a digital health platform that helps connect various healthcare tools and programs. This move aims to link everyday wellness tracking through wearables with clinical care, making it easier for users and healthcare providers to manage health.

Currently health data from personal devices and hospital records are often kept separate, which can lead to missed insights. By combining Samsung’s wearable technology with Xealth’s platform, users’ health data collected at home can better support medical decisions. This integration could help create a more connected approach to managing both wellness and medical care.

Xealth’s platform is already used by over 500 hospitals in the US and connects with more than 70 digital health solutions. It allows healthcare providers to monitor patients in real time, engage with them continuously and access a broader view of their health status. With this acquisition, Samsung wants to strengthen its role in digital health and improve how people track and manage their wellbeing.
