Samsung India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Startup India to support young problem solvers from smaller towns and strengthen India’s startup ecosystem. The agreement connects Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow programme with Startup India’s network of incubators and mentors, creating opportunities for students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Signed in New Delhi, the partnership aims to help young people turn their ideas into solutions by providing access to mentorship, infrastructure, market connections and funding. The goal is to bring more youth into innovation, especially from remote areas, and build local capacity in tech and entrepreneurship.
Samsung’s programme encourages students to work on real-world problems and create scalable solutions. This year, themes include AI, health and hygiene, education and environmental sustainability. Winning teams can receive grants of up to ₹1 crore with additional funding for others in the top 40.
Startup India will provide incubation support, while Samsung will work directly with students through workshops and challenges. The partnership supports national goals like Make in India, Digital India and Skill India, placing young minds at the heart of the country’s innovation journey. The 2025 edition has already reached young participants from districts like Baramulla, Cachar, Guntur and Samastipur.
