Samsung has announced the 2025 software update for its Family Hub™ refrigerators, enhancing connectivity, intelligence and security across the smart home ecosystem. Rolling out from October, the update introduces a refreshed One UI design for a unified experience across Samsung devices, including TVs, mobiles and appliances. It also brings upgrades to AI Vision Inside™, which can now recognize 37 types of fresh foods and up to 50 packaged items, helping reduce food waste.

The update adds Bixby Voice ID, enabling personalized responses, access to individual calendars, photos, and phone-finding functions. Accessibility is improved through synchronized visual settings with Galaxy devices and a new double-tap activation for Bixby. A new widget pilot on select Cover screen themes will display useful daily information such as weather, calendar and news, with the option to disable ads.

Security is strengthened through Samsung Knox Matrix, extending its blockchain-based protection to more connected appliances like washers and dryers. Features include Credential Sync, Passkey support and a new Knox Security Dashboard for real-time device protection.
