Samsung Electronics played a key role in capturing the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 by using Galaxy mobile devices to deliver closer and more personal views of the event.
Inside Milan’s San Siro Stadium, more than 75,000 spectators and around 3,500 athletes gathered for the opening of the Olympic Winter Games. Athletes used Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition smartphones to record and share personal moments from the Parade of Nations, including their first walk into the stadium and celebrations with teammates.
As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, Samsung also worked with Olympic Broadcasting Services to integrate 26 Galaxy S25 Ultra devices into the live broadcast setup. The smartphones were placed across the stadium, including spectator areas and athlete tunnels, to capture dynamic angles alongside traditional broadcast cameras.
