Samsung is introducing the Galaxy S25 Ultra into the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Super Crown World Championship in São Paulo as part of its ongoing partnership with the organization. The company is placing the device within the competition course to capture multiple angles of the event, contributing to live broadcasts and replays. This approach aims to give viewers a closer look at the action by using smartphones positioned directly in the environment where athletes perform.
Rayssa Leal, a Samsung Galaxy team athlete and three-time SLS Super Crown World Champion, collaborated with Samsung and SLS to shape how the device would be used. Her involvement focused on ensuring that the captured footage reflects the creativity and energy of the sport. Leaders from Samsung and Thrill Sports highlighted that skateboarding has long relied on camera work to document movement, style, and culture, making this integration a natural extension of existing practices.
The initiative in Brazil signals the beginning of an expanded collaboration between Samsung and SLS. Both organizations intend to further incorporate Galaxy technology throughout the 2026 season. The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera capabilities will support this direction by enabling new ways for athletes and fans to engage with skateboarding content.
