At IFA 2025 Samsung unveiled the Smart Modular Home, an AI-integrated residential model designed for modular living and connected lifestyles. The home combines AI-enabled appliances, high-efficiency HVAC systems and seamless control through SmartThings and SmartThings Pro. Samsung plans to expand this model to the global B2B market.

Visitors can monitor and control all appliances using the 3D Map View on SmartThings, which displays real-time device status. Smart security cameras and smart locks provide convenient and secure access. Upon entering, the home automatically adjusts lighting, curtains and temperature while managing cleaning with a robot vacuum.

Energy efficiency is supported through SmartThings Energy, which tracks consumption, schedules appliances during off-peak hours, and optimizes device charging. EHS heat pump solutions manage underfloor heating, cooling, and hot water, with future Smart Modular Home complexes expected to support centralized HVAC management via SmartThings Pro.

The home also adapts for leisure, such as Game Mode, which synchronizes lighting, temperature and visual effects for an immersive experience.
