Samsung has introduced the T7 Resurrected Portable SSD, a new addition to its external storage lineup, featuring a body made from 100% recycled aluminum sourced from Galaxy device production scrap. The device removes the coloring process to reduce chemical use and is packaged with fully recycled paper and soy ink. These efforts contributed to the product receiving a 2026 CES Innovation Award in the Sustainability & Energy category.
The T7 Resurrected maintains the performance level of the earlier T7 model, offering sequential read speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s through USB 3.2 Gen 2. Its compact form factor supports broad compatibility across smartphones, tablets, laptops, game consoles, and major operating systems, making it suitable for tasks like 4K video capture and editing. The SSD also includes AES 256-bit hardware encryption, two-meter drop resistance, and a durable build for users who need secure storage on the go.
Available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, the T7 Resurrected offers a storage option for creators seeking material-conscious design and cross-device flexibility. Global availability begins November 30, 2025, with pricing starting at $119.99 for 1TB.
