Sony announced that its technology ecosystem will play an expanded role at Super Bowl LX in San Francisco as part of its partnership with the National Football League. This marks Sony’s most advanced involvement in the championship game to date.
Super Bowl LX will be the first to fully use Sony’s NFL Coach’s Headsets. Introduced during the 2025 season the headsets are designed for clear reliable communication in loud and demanding conditions and will support coaching staff during key game moments.
Sony’s imaging systems will also be widely deployed with more than 175 cameras used across the field and stadium. These include broadcast and high frame rate cameras along with Sony Alpha cameras and professional lenses. The technology will support live broadcast production sideline photography and in venue content creation.
For the first time at a Super Bowl Sony’s Hawk-Eye Virtual Measurement system will be used to provide consistent line to gain measurements. Hawk-Eye video and replay tools will also support officiating and reviews. In addition the game will feature a fully integrated optical player and ball tracking system using Hawk-Eye SkeleTRACK combined with RFID data from Zebra Technologies to enhance movement and performance analysis.
