Toshiba Announces Winners of GridDB Cloud IoT Hackathon in India

Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation and Toshiba Software India Private Limited concluded the GridDB Cloud IoT Hackathon, an initiative focused on building real time IoT applications using GridDB Cloud.

The hackathon ran from October 29 to December 14, 2025 and received over 250 applications from across India. Participants developed solutions across healthcare, finance, IoT and knowledge management.

Five finalist teams advanced to the in person finals in Bengaluru from January 31 to February 1, 2026. They refined their proof of concept solutions with mentorship from the GridDB technical team. The finalists shared a total cash prize of USD 5,000.

Deevia Software from Bengaluru secured first place with a GenAI based enterprise document management platform. Other finalists included Wimera, VitalWatch, Richie Rich and GooRoo Mobility India.

Toshiba stated it would continue engaging with participants through the GridDB community and future initiatives to support India’s digital transformation and IoT ecosystem.
