Toshiba America Business Solutions has introduced the Encompass Tag & Assessment Generator™ (eTAG™), the industry’s first mobile, QR-enabled, self-service printer registration technology. Designed to streamline the traditionally time-consuming asset tagging process, eTAG allows organizations to remotely register and manage entire printer fleets directly from mobile devices.
The solution automatically catalogs each device’s make, model, and location while enabling staff to scan QR-coded asset tags for easy enrollment, supply ordering, or service scheduling. This eliminates the need for costly on-site IT visits and provides real-time fleet visibility for IT teams, ensuring devices are maintained and serviced promptly.
Retailer ERIK’S Bike Board & Ski, which operates 35 locations across seven U.S. states, leveraged eTAG to remotely identify and tag more than 100 printers. The company reported significant time, labor, and cost savings while improving accuracy and efficiency across its operations.
