Wipro has announced an agreement to acquire the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business of HARMAN International, a Samsung company. The deal will expand Wipro’s engineering research and development (ER&D) capabilities with a focus on AI-powered digital engineering and device engineering across industries such as technology, aerospace, healthcare, consumer and industrial. The transaction is expected to close by December 31, 2025 subject to regulatory approvals.
As part of the acquisition, more than 5,600 DTS employees, including leadership teams across the Americas, Europe and Asia, will join Wipro. DTS brings expertise in connected products, domain-led design and software platforms, with a strong emphasis on integrating AI with engineering to support large-scale transformation.
The acquisition will also establish a multi-year strategic partnership between Wipro, HARMAN and Samsung aimed at collaboration in AI-first technologies and solutions. For Wipro, DTS will be integrated into its Engineering Global Business Line, strengthening its ability to deliver end to end engineering services and complex transformation programs.
