Praveen Parihar has been appointed as Chief Information Security Officer at Razorpay, where he will drive the company’s cybersecurity strategy, governance, and regulatory compliance. With more than 14 years of experience, he has expertise in fraud prevention, risk management, and building resilient security infrastructures for fintechs.
Prior to Razorpay, he worked at Maya for over five years, focusing on information security compliance, advanced fraud detection, and risk management across banking and wallet ecosystems. His contributions included identity and access management, credit card fraud prevention, and strengthening consumer lending security.
Beyond his corporate roles, Praveen founded Dailycacy, a food-tech platform in Mumbai that successfully merged culinary experiences with secure digital infrastructure and was later acquired by an angel investor. He has also served as an independent principal consultant for telecom, banking, and payments clients, specializing in PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and cloud security compliance.
Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience at ControlCase, Aneja Associates, and Tata Technologies, developing strong expertise in network security audits, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and ISMS implementation. With his leadership at Razorpay, he is set to strengthen the company’s cybersecurity framework and reinforce its position in secure digital payments.
