Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra has appeared in new listings on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, offering more clarity on the device’s hardware and regional configurations. The entries reference multiple model numbers, indicating both US and international variants. According to the documents, the US version is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, listed under the code SM8850. This suggests that some regions may continue receiving Snapdragon-powered units, although Samsung could still adopt a mixed-chip approach for the wider Galaxy S26 series.

The FCC listing shows support for 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, NFC, ultra-wideband, and wireless power transfer, aligning with expected flagship specifications. Earlier reports suggested Samsung may use a customised Galaxy-branded version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with increased clock speeds. Markets such as South Korea and Europe could still receive units powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2600, depending on final decisions.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to debut in January with a 6.9-inch M14 QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, paired with 16GB of RAM. More information is likely to emerge as the launch timeline approaches.
